We’re based in Manila, Philippines, and have a number of shipping centers located in key cities. DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid)
The shipper is responsible for ensuring goods arrive safely to a destination; the receiver is responsible for import duties and taxes.

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)
Indicates that the shipper must cover duties, import clearance, and any taxes. May incur additional fees for the consignee.

At MAILTAG EXPRESS, we offer cardboard boxes of different sizes and a wide range of other essential packing supplies.

Prohibitions & Restrictions

Restricted products are those that can be delivered, but only after obtaining the required licenses and clearances before shipping. Prohibited goods are those that are, by definition, illegal to send or those that our partner carriers do not permit aboard their craft.

The following commodities are not acceptable for transport by DHL under any circumstances:
  • Animals
  • Antiques (breakable and/or fragile)
  • Asbestos
  • Bullion
  • Currency
  • Firearms, parts thereof and ammunition
  • Furs
  • Hazardous and combustible materials (as defined in IATA Regulations)
  • Human remains, including ashes
  • Jewelry, precious metals and stones
  • Narcotics (illegal)
  • Property, the carriage of which is prohibited by any law, regulation and statute of any federal, state or local government of country to or through which the shipment may be carried
  • Dangerous Goods such as:
    • Food flavoring
    • Perfumes
    • Chemicals
    • Electronic equipment
    • Lithium Batteries

In order for us to ship skincare and cosmetic items, we need an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet), which you can obtain from the manufacturer.

Compliance & Taxes

Customs duties are what our partner courier refers to as tariffs or taxes that are levied on goods when they are shipped across international borders. These fees are imposed to protect a country’s import and export revenues by controlling the flow of goods into and out of the country.

Although revenue is the main reason for doing so, customs duties may also be levied to protect a domestic industry from foreign competition.

The destination country's customs authority will determine the cost of tariffs and taxes.

We prioritize the safety and security of the shipments we transport. For this reason, we diligently inspect all shipments to ensure they do not contain any restricted or prohibited items, hazardous materials, contraband, etc. This inspection involves various methods, including physically opening and examining the contents of the package.

Pricing & Quotation

The insurance fee, remote surcharge, oversized cargo fee, special handling fee, USFDA Prior Notice, duties, taxes, and any other incidental expenses, if any, are not included in our pricing.

The shipping cost is determined based on the final weight. You can get the Chargeable Weight by dividing the volumetric weight of your package (length x width x height in centimeters) by 5000. Compare the gross weight in kilograms. The heavier the weight will be charged rounded to the next 0.5 kg for packages under 30 kg and the next 1 kg for packages over 30 kg.

Payments / Refunds

Please provide the following details to process a refund:
- Reason for return
- Invoice number for billing
- Proof of payment
- Designated bank account for reimbursement
